51 Tucked into a quiet cul-de-sac in metro Atlanta, this modern home transforms a challenging, irregular-shaped lot into a striking architectural composition. Designed for a client who desired a family-centered home, the residence balances openness with intentional privacy while dissolving the boundaries between indoor and outdoor living. At the heart of the design is a central volume anchored by a sculptural staircase, dividing the home into two distinct yet connected spaces. One side houses private, tucked-away bedrooms, while the other is dedicated to expansive communal areas, encouraging family gatherings and movement throughout. The open floor plan enhances transparency, while thoughtful spatial planning ensures moments of retreat within the home's dynamic flow. A key feature is the way the kitchen wraps around into the dining area, fostering connection and making the space the natural hub of the home. Materials play a vital role in the design — Italian marble and quartzite create contrast against crisp white walls, while stone and wood details are repeated inside and out, reinforcing a cohesive aesthetic. Large windows and glass doors erase the lines between exterior and interior, inviting nature in and encouraging life to spill outside onto the expansive courtyard.
