Inspired Modern Living
This Florida Modern home is set in the Southwest Ranches area of Miami on a combined
parcel with two other homes. The design of the home creates a dramatic approach from
the outside while the rear of the house shows the relationship between the outdoor
covered and interior living spaces. The mixture of corrugated concrete walls, rust-red
metal wall panels and light, bright stucco planes offers a dynamic interplay of light and
texture along with views and orientations.
The two-story left wing of the home includes a guest suite, a corner office surrounded by
water, and a movie theater. The owner's suite has bedroom ceilings up to 14-feet high with
a balcony that's shared with the sitting room. The three-story right wing of the home is the
family living area with a combined one-and-a-half story family room and dining room that
opens to a two-story covered loggia. A roof deck and entertainment room sit on the third
floor overlooking the surrounding countryside.
