Inspired Modern Living
ABOVE AND FACING PAGE: Located in Minneapolis' historic Standard Mill, this seventh-floor, 4,100-square-foot loft is a masterful blend of industrial heritage and modern elegance. Originally built in 1879, the space
had remained untouched for 16 years before being reimagined into a refined yet deeply personal home. With soaring 16-foot ceilings and expansive windows, it captures breathtaking views of the Mississippi River,
the stone arch bridge, and St. Anthony Falls.
Stepping into the condo, visitors are greeted by a double-height foyer that serves as an art gallery, setting the tone for the space. A mezzanine level provides additional gallery space, an art studio, and a guest suite,
overlooking the great room and river beyond. The great room — where the kitchen, dining, and living areas converge — features custom dark oak cabinetry, charcoal countertops, and a striking island with a green
stone seating ledge. Thoughtfully arranged cabinetry flanks the kitchen, offering storage for planting supplies and hobbies while integrating seamlessly into the home's design. The warm wood floors and ceiling
create a cozy atmosphere, while exposed brick walls maintain the industrial spirit of the unit and the stained glass speaks to its historical character. Carefully curated lighting and large industrial fans enhance the
loft's ambiance, while sound mitigation elements ensure privacy and tranquility.
