Inspired Modern Living
The "Night Song Bridge House" is deeply connected to nature, sky, and earth. It
bridges a ravine and has a profound relationship with its wooded site. The house
has two natures —one that inhabits the tree canopy and one that's embedded in
the earth. The lower level is made of heavy concrete walls that terrace down with
the sloping terrain. The upper level is clad in a lighter Corten steel façade that's the
color of the local red clay; its custom metal ribbing is based on graphs of nighttime
sound recordings from the area. Complementing the panels are Corten perforated
metal screens with a raindrop pattern.
