2 Night FX doesn't merely light landscapes; it elevates them. Since its first project in 2002, the company has transformed countless outdoor spaces with a blend of craftsmanship, creativity, and purpose. Founder Adam Puhl has the unique ability to understand the distinct interplay of landscape design and lighting design, as he's a seasoned horticulturist and landscape designer, as well. Today, Night FX stands apart not just for its technical skill but for its people-first approach. Operated by first responders, the company brings an ethos of integrity, reliability, and attention to detail to every installation, treating each property as more than a project — it's a canvas for evening beauty and enhanced safety. At the heart of the business is a commitment to high customer service — listening closely to homeowner needs, offering tailored solutions, and delivering systems designed to delight night after night. Headquartered in Tipp City and serving the greater Dayton region, Night FX continues its mission to light up the night with solutions that balance beauty, functionality, and enduring quality. NIGHT FX OUTDOOR LIGHTING TIPP CITY, OH ABOVE: This striking outdoor sculpture comes alive after dark, thanks to focused uplighting that draws the eye to its curves. Layered illumination in the surrounding trees adds depth and context — especially with the addition of blue light accenting the blue spruce, allowing their remarkable color to show (as opposed to the inset photo). The contrast between warm light on the artwork and cooler tones in the landscape creates a sense of balance, so the art stands as both focal point and integrated into the larger environment. FACING PAGE: Soft façade lighting defines this custom home's architecture without overpowering it, tracing rooflines, dormers, and entry details with a restrained, even glow. The subtle light placement enhances the symmetry and scale, allowing the house to sit comfortably within the night rather than dominate it. Photography by Adam Puhl
