FACING PAGE: This intimate poolside entertaining area features a beautiful, mirror-like reflection. Strategic uplighting is
visually expansive — making the space feel larger, more open, and immersive after dark. Towering hemlock trees provided
a natural backdrop above the pool, becoming a defining feature. To preserve privacy, illumination was focused on the
stone wall rather than the hot tub itself, allowing the space to feel secluded. Whimsical downlighting and subtle bubble
tube elements add layered interest in the background. The black fence was added later to meet code requirements and
introduced an unexpected challenge, but the final design was thoughtfully adapted to maintain the original vision.
