I had the rare privilege of studying under Janet Lennox Moyer, one of the most influential figures in our field. Her mentorship — and my continued collaboration with the exceptional alumni of the International Landscape Lighting Institute (ILLI), which she founded — has shaped my philosophy and pushed me to elevate every project I touch. Among these graduates are some of the most respected lighting artists in the world, whose commitment to excellence continues to raise the bar for our entire industry. Janet taught me that lighting is more than science, it's storytelling. It's understanding the soul of a space and revealing it with precision, grace, and intention. As a Certified Outdoor Lighting Designer and Certified Low Voltage Lighting Technician, I've spent over two decades refining my craft at the intersection of engineering, artistry, and environment. My work is informed not just by technical knowledge, but by a deep respect for the emotional and functional power of illumination.
