Masters of Landscape Lighting
ABOVE: The path circling the rear of the home is left unlit by design, relying solely on the
ambient lighting from the nearby trees and stonework. The effect is soft and natural, an
understated passage that honors the quiet mystery of the nighttime scene.
TOP LEFT: Subtle, concealed lighting in the gutters and at ground level draws attention to
the chimneys, emphasizing their role as defining architectural features.
BOTTOM LEFT: Hidden 7-watt lamps, positioned below both sides of the pool house
roofline, reveal the intricate texture of the thatch roof — details that might otherwise
disappear after dark. Shrouded well lights, embedded in the pool terrace, gently illuminate
the pots, plantings, and façade, uniting the architecture and landscape in an evening
composition.
