ABOVE: The interplay of natural cool moonlight and well-placed warm
uplighting creates an artistically luminous effect as shadows dance across the
driveway and onto the bordering stone wall.
FACING PAGE: An inviting glow welcomes guests to this renovated 1920s Tudor
in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where carefully layered illumination enhances
both its charm and its rich architectural details. The design gently uplights the
façade, creating ambience while drawing attention to the intricate woodwork
in the foremost gable — features that come alive as light reflects off the lower
surfaces and subtle shadows form above. Soft uplighting of the magnolias and
surrounding landscape provides additional context for the home.
