Masters of Landscape Lighting
ABOVE: A prominent lighting manufacturer contacted Well Lit to redesign the lighting for this mature banyan tree, refining the light output of the fixtures to create
a visual hierarchy. The original 9-watt LED lamps were replaced with 6, -3-, and 1.5-watt lamps and the beam angles were changed, allowing the tree's form to
emerge with greater subtlety. Using a 2700K color temperature highlights the tree's natural character.
Onsite, Anthony observed the contour and layout of the brick walkway and recommended the introduction of two chairs as a focal point. Using a neutral white
3000K lamp, he highlighted the chairs, allowing them to stand out as a crisp, inviting presence. Additional downlighting of the brick walkway with 2700K lamps
reinforces texture and directional movement of the walk while tying the scene together, blending functional visibility with refined elegance.
