77 Greg Matthews is the founder and lead designer of Luxury Illumination, a West Palm Beach-based studio specializing in high-end landscape lighting for residential estates and architecturally significant properties across the United States. With a background rooted in visual composition and a deep respect for natural landscapes, Greg approaches lighting as an extension of architecture and environment rather than an applied afterthought. His work emphasizes balance, subtlety, and control, using light to reveal form, texture, and depth while preserving darkness as an essential design element. Known for his mastery of layered illumination and glare-free techniques, Greg frequently works with mature Florida landscapes where palms, banyans, and historic plantings require a thoughtful, restrained hand. Warm color temperatures, hidden sources, and precise aiming allow the landscape to feel sculpted rather than staged. Through Luxury Illumination, Greg collaborates closely with architects, landscape architects, and discerning homeowners to create nighttime environments that feel timeless, immersive, and quietly luxurious. With the mission statement, "We change lives one night at a time," he believes that lighting is designed not just to be seen, but to be experienced. ILILLUXURY ILLUMINATION WEST PALM BEACH, FL TOP: Uplighting defines a procession of palms along the driveway, using their vertical forms to subtly guide arrival and naturally lead the eye toward the front entry. BOTTOM: A sculpture anchors the foreground while restrained lighting allows the illuminated pool beyond to provide depth, reflection, and a layered visual connection across the landscape.
