osa Volsun Udler, Shlomo and Hava's second
daughter and Iosif 's older sister, was born in
Gorodok, Ukraine in 1921. At the time this book
was written, she lived in a fih-floor apartment in
Toronto, Canada. In her 85th year, Rosa is still a
powerful woman with the bearing and
self-confidence of the military officer
and physician she once was.
