On his first trip since he immigrated to the U.S., Lev Volsun took his daughter Lana to visit Russia. During the trip, they planned
to visit the two cemeteries where the Volsuns and the Bravermans were buried, but had no information about the location of the
gravestones. Iosif created these maps om memory and drew them by hand. Lev and Lana were able to find the location of all the
family graves using these maps. Lev took his other daughter Stephanie to Russia a few years later and they used the same maps again.
