Located just 10 minutes from Montgomery, Alabama's state capital, Capitol Hill features 54 holes of championship golf spread across more than 1,500 acres. Each course on the property showcases its own unique and distinctive characteristics. Two standout features of Capitol Hill include a 360-degree driving range that spans 400 yards in diameter and the RTJ TaylorMade Performance Center, both of which contribute to an exceptional golfing experience. The Judge Course, covering 200 acres, is particularly notable for its breathtaking views of the Alabama River, with 14 of its holes incorporating the river into their design. This is a true island green with the tee shot completely over water. It features the largest green on the course, protected by one bunker in front that must be carried and a bunker on the left side. There is no bailing out here—you are either on, or you're not. Club selection is critical, as the pin position must be taken into consideration. The walk over the bridge gives you plenty to think about as you approach the green. The unique mounding on the green dissects it into three sections: a very small landing area in the back-left and a large mounding splitting the green into two halves, with a large area on the left and a smaller area to the lower right. The wow factor certainly comes to mind when choosing a club. Continuing on to the back nine and upon completing play, golfers will judge the Judge as magnificent.
