TOURNAMENT FORMAT A Stonebriar Tradition Since 1989 POINT QUOTA The Point Quota format is based on a combined handicap sum of each team. We subtract the sum of the combination of each player's handicap from 72. The difference is a number that becomes your team's quota. You acquire points toward your quota by scoring a bogey or better on each hole. Both player's scores count toward reaching your team's quota. The scoring is as follows: Bogey—1 point Par—2 points Birdie—4 points Eagle—6 points Double Eagle—10 points Hole-in-One—10 points Double Bogey—0 points—PICK IT UP!! Please record both players' gross scores on the corresponding line on the scorecard. Then, determine the team points. Squires' Cup Example: If you and your partner were to make all pars for 18 holes, each of you would acquire 36 points totaling 72 points. For instance, if both players have a handicap of 1, your team quota would be 70: therefore, you have recorded a quota score of +2 for that round. Note: Guest's handicaps have been applied to our slope Adjustment: After each round, there will be an adjustment of your team's quota by 50% based on how many "over or under" you were on your day's round. Example: If you and your partner have a quota of 50 and you score 56 points, you are +6 on your quota for the day. The next round we will adjust each individual's quota up or down to acquire the new team quota of 53. Flighting: All teams will be flighted after the first round of play on Thursday. There will be 14 teams per flight. In order to break ties the team with the lowest combined handicap will move up to the next flight. If the teams in question have the same combined handicap, the team with the lowest individual handicap will break the tie.
