ABOVE, LEFT & FACING PAGE: There is a definite spirit in the bright and
elegant space. It has undeniable complexity and depth that invites you
into it. The entry hall was made livable by the addition of a portière
curtain to mask the front door. When you are in the room, you are
able to enjoy the entry space as well, focusing on the entry table and
the personal collections showcased on the floating shelves. The visual
pairing of the two spaces makes it feel like one larger room. The dark,
bold colors provide a contrast to the grasscloth wallpaper and the
gilded raised ceiling in the plum dining room. Sheer linen draperies in
the back family room offset the navy blue wall color and furnishings. The
elegance in the spaces and the enfilade invite you in. I just love it.
