and crackers. Stack serving pieces at the back of
the table to add height to the arrangement for
visual appeal.
Adding the Lush Fillers:
Fill out the arrangement with some large, uncut
vegetables that will not be eaten. Group
the vegetables together by color, ensuring that
color is evenly spaced around the table. Leftover
vegetables need not be wasted; use for soups
sautés, or salads. Place whole vegetables in and
around the baskets to build up the foundation.
To make it easy for guests to serve themselves,
leave space for plates and napkins. Hollow out
at least one large head of cabbage to fill with
dip. Fill in empty spaces with kale or seasonal
greenery. Flowers may be added as well.
