In the South, we plan our lives around SEC football. When
you're choosing a date for a wedding, a charity fundraiser, or
a black tie gala, the football schedule is considered. We take
our football seriously, not just because it's fun to watch but
because it's fun to watch together. It's a pastime ripe with
tradition, something that connects us in a big way, a ritual
we welcome year after year, an important part of autumn
revelry. Tailgating is an integral part of the football festivities.
You'll want to serve a wide variety of food: definitely at least
one entrée you can grill fresh, appetizers you can make a few
days ahead, some side salads, a dessert, and tasty drinks that
look fancy but are actually really easy.
