Tailgating 101
Even if you don't have a truck with an actual
tailgate, you can set up your tailgating party with
whatever you've got. We've used a 6-foot or
8-foot buffet table and folded up one end and
had it come out from the trunk of an SUV or
car. You need to level the other end with the legs
extended with wooden crates or blocks to have a
flat table. Dress with your team colors and spread
out your buffet—think chili, warm dips, savory
chips, and comfort food of all sorts. Make your
bloody mary's memorable by garnishing with a
mini slider on a pick. Designing team cake pops
and lining them up on a green styro playing field
makes a fun display. Goal posts are fun and easy
to make with pipe cleaners.
