27 When a wonderful couple wanted a wedding that was both minimalistic and faithful to their Indian heritage, a modern, muted color palette that allowed the resplendent wedding garments to take center stage was the way to go. A clean white mandap set before the turquoise waters at Seven Mile Beach provided the perfect canvas for the spectacular wedding party. White chairs, silver and white lanterns, and soft florals in white and soft pink made for an incredible contrast once the bride and groom arrived. A traditional Indian wedding involves many events, with a ceremony that lasts for several hours, and this wedding was no different. Guests were greeted with a welcome party, and the mehndi ceremony was held the day before the wedding. The next morning, the ceremony was held on the beach, with the groom and his family arriving by boat. After vows were exchanged, the guests and couple took a break until the wedding reception began that evening. A full night of eating, dancing, entertainment, and fun was then enjoyed by all. The ballroom of the Grand Cayman Beach Resort served as the venue for the reception, where the entire ceiling was draped in flowing soft white fabric. Clear lights created a magical feeling throughout the room. A mystical ambience was created with tall, stunning centerpieces on each of the tables, hanging candles, and delicate crystals, making the setting dreamlike and regal. Guests enjoyed a day-after brunch the next morning as a thank you for their attendance. It was a special and rewarding event. best of both worlds a m e e & m i h i r
