ABOVE: A stunning array of windows make the back of the home an
incredible sight after the sun goes down. Multiple vantage points
throughout the floorplan offer ample ways to view the island. Out back,
the patio steps down to the keyhole-shaped pool nestled near the home.
Working in conjunction with a landscape architect, the team designed
and built a beautiful backyard retreat for the owners and guests.

"It's vitally important for the energy and light to continue to
flow throughout each space."

FACING PAGE: The tall ceiling of the living room allows for light to flow freely
through the transom windows. Passages to the dining area and bar, the
kitchen, and the entry way are grand and define the transition without
blocking the flow of energy. Each detail was carefully considered, down
to the placement of the window over the kitchen sink to perfectly align
with the entry to the living room, and the room itself. The high window
above helps to reinforce the symmetry, while lightening the dark ceiling.

PREVIOUS PAGES: The Kiawah Island home opens to the beautiful landscape
through the use of transom and larger windows throughout. A signature
Camens chimney cap adorns the chimney, while the copper roof will age
beautifully over time. Although it was intended to be their second home,
the owners loved loved it so much that made it their primary residence.
