TOP: A bookcase's purpose is regally redefined with the addition
of a mirror and a custom, built-in banquette, creating a cozy
seating nook in this music room of this Atlanta, Georgia
residence.
BOTTOM: The home's family room was designed for comfort—
from the plush J. Robert Scott sofa and side chairs to the
upholstered coffee table. Yet it still boasts an uncompromising
level of sophistication in the refined fabrics and finishes. The
mirrored alcove adds a sense of depth to the room, with its
ledge providing a display case of sorts for objets d'art and a
Todd Murphy drawing.
FACING PAGE: The living room has a flair for the dramatic in its
sharp black-and-white color palette that's enlivened by the
strength of a zebra print motif yet simultaneously softened by
upholstered walls and a plush sectional, flanked by Rose Tarlow
accent pieces. The mix of a classic painting with abstract art that
echoes the zebra contributes another layer of intriguing power
to the space.
