A R C H I T E CT U R E 213 ABOVE LEFT: The owner of a home on the river found a floorplan she loved, but with an elevation that just did not resonate with her. Freeman Architects redesigned the exterior of the home and used more affordable materials inside to accommodate the owner's budget. Knotty cedar and hand-selected light fixtures accent the stairway. Above, Masonite turned so that the back faces out adds a creative curved feature to the cubbies without breaking the bank. ABOVE RIGHT: The airy feel of the renovated rambler is unmistakable inside where a neutral color palette and natural materials contribute to the overall peaceful environment.
