patio, which is perfect for entertaining. An outdoor fireplace
dressed in natural stone is flanked by a gas grill. The enviable
patio also includes an outdoor sink and ample prep space.
FACING PAGE TOP: Reclaimed wood plank flooring and
tongue-and-groove tight knot cedar ceilings provide a
beautiful canvas for the home's interior design. The firm
worked closely with the homeowner, an artist, to select the
perfect color palette to complement the Pacific Northwest
landscape. A thick drywall compound gives the walls an Old
World texture, and distressed alder doors and trim finish off
the nature-inspired look.
FACING PAGE BOTTOM LEFT: The two-story living room boasts
a hipped truss vaulted ceiling and exposed beams that
draw the eye upwards and toward the canal just beyond
the windows.
FACING PAGE BOTTOM RIGHT: The home is just feet from
Highway 106 and presents a solid face at the front. Smaller
windows and acoustic glass on the front of the house help
muffle road noise.
