I N T E R I O R D E S I G N 179 DTF Design Design is in Dana Foster's roots. As a child, she accompanied her father to job sites where he served as a construction project manager for firms specializing in high-end residential design, golf courses, and other luxury properties. She loved the thrill of the sounds, the variety of people who worked on the homes, and the personal connections made between the trades and homeowners. After taking two electives in high school—one in art, the other in interior design—Dana's path was set. She attended Arizona State University and earned an accredited bachelor of science degree in interior design while working closely with an interior design firm in Arizona. It wasn't long before the draw of the Pacific Northwest's iconic landscape and art scene drew her to Seattle, where she worked with local construction companies before founding DTF Design, a full-service firm specializing in interior architecture and design. Throughout her career, Dana's intimate knowledge of construction has informed her work with residential clients across the region, resulting in homes with distinctive character and timeless designs. With close attention to detail and a deep love for art— especially the work of local artisans—Dana begins each design by considering the sources of natural light and the owners' art collection. From there, she works directly with clients and architects to design according to the homeowners' needs; how they will live and interact with the space. Working with Dana and DTF Design means that homeowners receive concierge-level service. Dana is always on hand to help usher clients through each step of the process and bridge the gap between the owner, architect, and builder. Her friendly approach and years of unique construction experience make her a trusted designer. That trust often translates into the formation of life-long relationships with clients who hire her repeatedly as their lives evolve.
