ABOVE: Views of Lake Washington can be seen from most of
the rooms in the Tuscan-inspired show home turned private
residence. Initially built to benefit the Pratt Fine Arts Center
in Seattle—proceeds from the show went directly to the
Center—the home featured the works of local artists while on
display for fundraising purposes.
FACING PAGE TOP: The three-story Mercer Island home rests
on a site that steps down to the water. Ample windows and a
second-story balcony welcome natural light on sunny days.
FACING PAGE BOTTOM: The spiral staircase is a striking
element, drawing the eye up and down its curve. Contractor:
MacPherson Construction & Design.
