ABOVE: Expansive windows frame the stunning views
throughout the home. Several spaces including the living
room, where you can look to the right and see the pool and
look to the left to see the mountain, are open to the outdoors
on both sides.
RIGHT: Both visually interesting and functional, the horizontal
cedar wall separates the public from private rooms and
serves as part of the stairway's structure.
FACING PAGE: Long, low steps carry visitors to the front door
as they pass the windows of the first level, which is built
into the hillside. Concrete and stucco combine to give the
bottom level a more industrial feel, while the main level of the
home expresses openness via the use of cedar siding and
generous windows.
