D E S I G N B U I L D 11 All Elements Design.Manage.Build When Kim Larson and Stephan Ams were toying with the idea of starting a design/build firm together, they vowed to do things differently than other companies. They would take the four elements of nature into account with every space they designed, capitalize on the features that make each site unique, and build the projects that other people might think impossible. Since founding All Elements.Design. Manage.Build in 2009, the pair has designed and built homes that provide a unifying backdrop to people's lives, merging the architecture with the environment in form and function that serve the owners. It's no exaggeration to say Kim has loved architecture her entire life. In fact, it wasn't unusual to find her sitting on neighbors' driveways sketching their houses as a child. At the age of 14, she began working with architecture firms, and just couldn't wait to get to college because she knew exactly what she wanted to do. When she met Stephan, a journeyman carpenter with a dedication to luxury custom home construction that paralleled her own, the pairing was a perfect match. Together Kim and Stephan take a hands-on approach to home building. Kim is rarely in the office, preferring instead to be onsite whenever possible, walking homeowners through the process and Stephan is continually researching new ways to build luxurious designs using the latest innovative construction techniques. All Elements' style, which can best be described as contemporary, clean, and minimalist, combines quality craftsmanship with innovation, making All Elements homes some of the most distinctive in the region. You sense it the moment you step in the door. The views outside captivate as the sun shines through the windows, water features catch the eye, and you take a deep breath: this is what it means to be home.
