RIGHT: A 1920s Vancouver renovation began with the kitchen
and expanded to the entire home. Extensive custom millwork
pays homage to the home's original style. Rich cream and
soft gray tones create a soothing palette for the homeowner's
original art and favorite color, a rich teal. The metal fretwork
table and champagne gold fixture above add a bit of sparkle
to the space.
FACING PAGE TOP LEFT: The expansive master bedroom
includes a king-sized bed, with a bench at its foot, as well as
an intimate seating area by the fireplace opposite. Tone-on-
tone wallpaper with a sheen and matte trellis pattern adds a
bit of texture to the polished yet comfortable space.
FACING PAGE TOP RIGHT: Sophisticated comfort is the theme
of the kitchen, which was completely redesigned during its
renovation. Carrera marble countertops and a marble tile
herringbone backsplash create functional surfaces that are
equally beautiful. Two tiers of cabinets elevate the space to
create a sense of height.
FACING PAGE BOTTOM RIGHT: In the classic living room,
honoring the original home's architecture, Victoria created
an aesthetic grounded with neutrals with accents of teal. A
stunning gold table with a marble top harkens back to chic
days gone by, while luxurious fabrics invite one to sink into
the sofa in front of the dreamy window.
FACING PAGE BOTTOM LEFT: Custom-milled herringbone
wood floors in the kitchen match the rest of the home's
existing flooring. Palladium windows designed specifically
for the renovated room flood the kitchen with natural light.
Coffered ceilings offer timeless interest while facilitating new
recessed lighting.
