D E S I G N B U I L D 15 ABOVE: At less than 2,500 square feet, the modern home on the lake is an oasis for the homeowners. Named Olympus, meaning "white house," it was custom built on the site of a home that was demolished to make way for a new design,. The home features two offices and an open sitting and dining area. Every room boasts views of either the sparkling pool or the lake. FACING PAGE TOP: Clerestory windows above the kitchen and along the opposite wall visually lift the ceiling. Custom cabinetry in the kitchen was crafted to look like furniture, and the long island provides seating and ample storage. Minimalist touches throughout, like the recessed cubbies in the living room and the built-in buffet style cabinetry in the dining room, keep the space uncluttered. FACING PAGE BOTTOM: A garage door in the dining room lifts to open the living spaces to the outdoors. It allows the owners to view the pool and the lake just beyond while enjoying the breeze off the waterway.
