ABOVE: Expansive windows frame the stunning views throughout
the home. Several spaces including the living room, where you
can look to the right and see the pool and look to the left to see
the mountain, are open to the outdoors on both sides.
RIGHT: Both visually interesting and functional, the horizontal cedar
wall separates the public from private rooms and serves as part of
the stairway's structure.
FACING PAGE: Long, low steps carry visitors to the front door as
they pass the windows of the first level, which is built into the
hillside. Concrete and stucco combine to give the bottom level a
more industrial feel, while the main level of the home expresses
openness via the use of cedar siding and generous windows.
