CABERNET SAUVIGNON RESERVE
gourmet pairings
Our chefs recommend a nicely
seared ribeye cap with parsnip
puree.
tasting notes
At Barnard Griffin, Reserve
wines are carefully selected
from the best vineyard sites
and the best individual barrels from a given year. Reserve is a
word perhaps out of fashion, but it has deep meaning for this
pioneering winery.
winemaker's insight
A chorus of cherry, orange zest, and toasty vanilla oak flavors
greets the palate. The wine displays a very ripe and dense
character which is nicely offset by juicy acidity. Serve this stately,
well-structured Cabernet Sauvignon with hearty meats and other
dishes that call for a rich, full-bodied red.
