Boushey Vineyards
GRANDVIEW
Winemakers and grape-growers have a symbiotic relationship, and Boushey Vineyards is a
prime example of this give and take. Set on the southern slopes of the Rattlesnake Mountains,
the vineyards are comprised of several sites in a two-mile area in the Yakima Valley. The humble
acreage provides 23 varietals, including Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Sangiovese, Merlot, Sauvignon
Blanc, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Richard Boushey first planted vines in 1980, and today the crops produce fruit for a number
of Washington wineries, including Almquist, aMaurice, Ambassador, Aniche Cellars; Avennia,
Barrage Cellars, Betz Family, Burnt Bridge, Buty, Cairdeas, Callan Cellars, Cavatappi, Chinook,
Covington Cellars, Columbia Crest, Damsel Cellars, DeLille Cellars, EFESTE Winery, Eight
Bells, Fidelitas Forgeron Cellars, Gamache, Gorman, JM Cellars, K Vintners, Kevin White, Long
Shadows, Matthews Cellars, Ott & Murphy, Savage Grace, Sparkman Cellars, Steven, Structure,
Swiftwater Cellars, Syncline, Telaya, Tenor, Upchurch, VaPiano, WIT Cellars, and WT Vintners.
The winemakers in turn, have brought out the best of the vineyards' grapes, and rely on the
crops year after year. Over time, Boushey has made a great deal of long-term relationships, but
is particularly excited to work with new, young winemakers, and watch them flourish.
