At once delicate and intense, our Reserve Estate Nebbiolo is
a more traditional, rustic style. Like most Italian wines, it pairs
well with a fine meal, but this intense wine can be too much for
delicate dishes.
winemaker's insight
Nebbiolo is the "headache grape," not because it gives you a
hangover, but because it's very difficult to grow. With more leaves
and growth than other plants, the vines require an exceptionally
high canopy. They also produce the least amount of fruit and
have the longest growing season of any of our grapes. Nebbiolo
is the first to bud and the last to harvest. The wine ages very well
and for much longer than most want to wait to enjoy it.
