tasting notes
The nose is reminiscent of a field of raspberry in summer; at
once earthy and fresh. A juicy palate reveals hints of cranberry,
while white pepper flavors mingle with mineral tones and great
acidity to complete the wine. Light and crisp, the finish lingers
delightfully and will bring you back for more.
winemaker's insight
Grenache is among the most widely planted varietals across the
globe and is grown extensively in Southern France and Spain, as
well as parts of the United States. The varietal loves a hot and dry
climate, accompanied by long growing days. Upland Vineyard
provides these conditions on its steep south-facing slope above
the Yakima River.
