Our Viognier-based blend, Shepherds Mark, presents a beautiful
harmony of lavender, herbal tea, honey, and freshly-picked
stone fruit, leading to an aromatic profile rich with complexity. A
weighty palate of honeysuckle, tangerine, and Meyer lemon are
pursued by an enticing flash of acidity that balances out the wine
and lends to the sustained and elegant finish.
winemaker's insight
The Shepherds Mark Rhone blend of Roussanne, Marsanne, and
Viognier is the first to be produced in Washington State and has
been our signature white wine since 2004. Named for the early-
1900s pioneer sheepherders who left their mark on the Horse
Heaven Hills in the form of rock monuments, this monumental
wine is crafted from our Destiny Ridge Estate Vineyard grapes.
Attentive viticulture management, balanced crop levels, and
hand-harvesting and hand-processing make this wine an
exceptional example of what Horse Heaven Hills white wines
can be.
