Each year, Mercer Wine Estates hosts several events open to
the public, including the Winter Wine & Dine, Summer BBQ
Bash, events in Prosser, and the March Taste Washington
Wine Dinner and August Washington Wine Month Dinner and
other events in Seattle.
When guests visit the winery facility in Eastern Washington—
tours are by appointment—they are delighted by how well the
large building gracefully merges with the landscape. Inspired
by the desert, the contemporary facility features rich brown
tones and ample tinted windows through which guests can
view the landscape. The property is also xeriscaped with low-
water, drought-tolerant plants including native mock orange
and bunch grasses. Sustainability continues at the Seattle
tasting room, housed in an old machine and welding shop in
the Georgetown neighborhood. The bar was built from old
farm equipment, and the décor resonates with the industrial
building and surrounding architecture.
Behind the scenes, owners Rob Mercer and Brenda Mercer—
who also serves as the Charitable Giving Director and
handles public relations—are joined by an exceptional team
of experts who share a passion for wine. Will Mercer serves
as the Business Development Manager, and Sean Kendall is
the General Manager. Winemaker Jeremy Santo and Director
of Vineyards, John Derrick, work closely with one another to
ensure the wines are consistent with the quality for which
Mercer is known.
