Our Columbia Valley Syrah offers dark fruit on the nose, with
hints of licorice. A rich, evolving flavor of blackberry and plum
with chocolate notes carries this wine to its finish. Medium acidity
and smooth tannins make this wine exceptionally
food friendly.
winemaker's insight
Syrah is among the darkest of red wines and as such can be a
full-bodied wine. By blending fruit from three vineyards, Dineen,
McKinley Springs, and Phinny Hill, our Columbia Valley Syrah
captures the best of what these three vineyards have to offer
without being too heavy. Together, the fruit from these three
vineyards brings a purity to the varietal.
