293 Ray Goff developed a love of wine, leading him to co-found Pepper Bridge Winery. His daughter and business partner, Travis Goff, is also a partner of the winery. The winery was the first gravity flow winery in the state—complete with subterranean caves—and winemaker Jean-François Pellet helped develop and design a new optical sorter that improved the overall quality of the wine. In fact, Pellet's dedication to sustainable wine extends to his role as a founding member of VINEA, Walla Walla Valley's sustainable viticulture program. As the winery moves into the next generation, the founders and partners continue to help cultivate the Washington industry and facilitate environmentally-conscious processes through its Old-World philosophy and modern innovation. With a portfolio of elegant, balanced wines that focus on Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and the winery's Bordeaux blend, Trine, Pepper Bridge Winery has been named to Wine & Spirits' Top 100 Wineries list multiple years. The terroir-driven wines are crafted using traditional winemaking techniques, 100 percent French oak barrels, and 100 percent estate fruit from the Walla Walla Valley. Guests can explore the winery and sample its award-winning offerings via a private winery tour or exclusive food and wine pairing events.
