Eternal Wines
WALLA WALLA
Wine isn't always about fancy names and designer labels, and Brad Binko,
owner of Eternal Wines and its sister brand Drink Washington State, knows
that. The latter takes all the pretense out of winemaking and offers drinkers
approachable options that are suitable for every day of the week. But if
you like big, age-worthy wines with fancy names and designer labels, he has
that too.
Located in Walla Walla, Eternal Wines produces terroir-driven wines in small
batches with a focus on single-vineyard Rhone varietals from hand-harvested
fruit. Although the Syrah is worth trying, don't skip the whites. Grenache
Blanc, Marsanne, Roussanne, and Viognier are much harder to find in the area
and these varietals will not disappoint. Drink Washington State concentrates
on blends and gets creative with grapes from appellations statewide. The
results are ready-to-drink varietals that you'd welcome at your dinner table
for any occasion.
Want to take a tour? Check out the winery's limo tours and travel through
the vineyards in style. The winemaker serves as the tour guide and explains
history, terroir, and flavor. Sip and sample at either of the tasting rooms: the
cozy downtown location or the Airport Winery Tasting Room. Eternal Winery
holds and participates in festivals and celebrations year-round, including
Reveal Walla Walla, Guitarfest, and Taste Washington. For specific festival
dates and times, call before planning your visit to either winery
