ORIANA
gourmet pairings
The wine's complexity, and
refreshing balance, makes
it a great match for an array
of dishes from chicken to
shellfish. Brian's favorite is
crab cakes with fruit-based
salsa, or step up the volume
by matching it with Cajun
spiced prawns.
tasting notes
Hardly a month goes by without someone telling the winery that
Oriana is their favorite white wine. With its seductive aromas
and perfect balance, its popularity just keeps soaring. The wine
is richly aromatic, resplendent with tangerine, apricot, ripe pear,
and apple, with touches of honey and anise. Crisp acidity greets
the palate while mouth-filling fruit flavors linger.
winemaker's insight
The grapes are hand-picked and whole cluster pressed grapes;
30 percent barrel fermented in neutral barrels with sur lie and
bâttonage. The wine is blended and bottled in the spring, six
months after the vintage.
