STOLEN HORSE SYRAH
gourmet pairings
Pairs wonderfully with pan-
seared, fresh Northwest
salmon and morel mushrooms.
tasting notes
Stolen Horse Syrah is made
in the same elegant style for
which Doubleback Cabernet
Sauvignon is known. With
Syrah being such an ambassador of terroir, multiple "areas" of
the Walla Walla Valley are blended together in order to create
the best overall Syrah possible.
winemaker's insight
We purposefully select individual vineyard sites for the Syrah that
are completely unique to each other. Once we pick the grapes,
we do a mixture of whole cluster and destemmed fermentations
in small lots with native and selected yeasts for long maceration
times. We approach our Syrah almost like a Pinot Noir—it's a very
hands-off process in the winery, trying to keep the wine as fresh
as possible and truly let the vineyards and the Walla Walla Valley
show through.
