This is complemented by a sparkling twenty-four light crystal chandelier and gleaming silver candelabras and tea service. The dining table is circa 1870 and extends to fourteen feet. The sideboard is also circa late 1850's and came from the Kinderbock estate in upstate New York. It is topped by an original oil painting of fornicating peacocks which are flanked by twelve rare Limoges plates featuring Aberdeen cattle. The centerpiece of the room is the large mounted steer head which was gathered by helicopter by the late owner Richard Tiller. Photograph by Clinton Hille BOTTOM LEFT – Breakfast Room. Photograph by Clinton Hille accomplished interior decorator, Ken Berryhill, the extensive renovations began immediately. Carpeting was removed to reveal intricate parquet work consisting of oak, walnut and pecan in the main foyer. The flooring throughout the majority of the home is long leaf pine. Downstairs the pine was covered with the parquet and oak as it was viewed as more affluent when the home was built. All floors have been refinished to their original glory. Three more of the eight original fireplaces have been reopened. The kitchen has been completely renovated including the addition of a butler's pantry. Outside, the grounds also went through major renovations. Years of overgrowth were removed, terraces and sidewalks extended and a swimming pool added. The roof on the greenhouse was replaced as well as the walkway between the main house and carriage house in a style that looks like it could have been original. Over the years various areas of the gardens have been improved to include many boxwood hedges and other plantings to complement the grounds. The home was opened in 2002 as Belle Oaks Inn and continues to welcome guests today.
