The stairs are uncommonly steep and there was no hand railing along the
wall. However the late owner Mildred Wilson navigated them daily with ease
up into her 90s. The latest renovation included hand railings and raised the
upstairs banister.

In 2014, J5 Horse Ranch purchased the home and an
extensive restoration/renovation was done. Extensive
leveling and stabilization was done in addition to
replacing all mechanical electrical and plumbing systems.
Flooring and moldings were removed, refinished and
reinstalled. A modern kitchen and bathrooms were
installed to provide for the comforts of today's living.
Kitchen cabinets were handcrafted out of reclaimed
long leaf pine which blends perfectly with the original
flooring and molding.
