Signature Wines and Wineries of California's Central Coast
not found in many Paso Robles' tasting rooms. The family's
philosophy is to produce wines from estate fruit only, so in the
typical Grenache Syrah
Mourvèdre (GSM) blend, Leduc has used
Tannat instead of Syrah, which is not a variety grown on the
Seven Oxen property.
Following in the family tradition, Adriana Neal, the winery's
general manager, learned about environmental responsibility
and organic living from her mom Anneke and about wine from
her dad Stephen. She is joined in the tasting room by manager
Nancy Gonzalez. The two offer a personalized tasting experience
of Seven Oxen wines. For the Neal family team, the winery is a
true labor of love, crafting wines they are proud of and believe
in passionately.
The tasting room is open Thursday to Monday from 11 am to
5 pm. Winery tours and private tastings with the winemaker
(including barrel tastings) are by appointment only.
TOP: The interior of the tasting room celebrates the building's industrial
design. The aesthetic is clean and simple, like the rest of Seven Oxen's
branding.
RIGHT: Seven Oxen is expanding their schedule of events as they settle
into their new location. The location provides great opportunities for food
trucks and live music, and the stunning sunsets make evening events
particularly special.
