The first thing you will notice is the beautiful deep, red color.
Your nose will discover beautiful mineral driven notes of slate,
flint, and river rock. These notes lead to bright fruit notes of
cranberry, bright cherry, with a hint of black tea. On the palate
you will enjoy gentle, well-integrated tannins with balanced fruit
notes of cherry and cranberry that carry through from the nose,
leading to strong herbal notes on the finish.
winemaker's insight
The Russell Vineyard Cabernet Franc is a small production (50-
100 cases per year), single vineyard, gold medal award-winning
wine that is hand crafted. The vines are hand pruned, the grapes
are hand harvested and fermentation is done in small tanks. The
wine is aged solely in oak barrels for a minimum of two full years
before release. It has a dedicated following and each release
usually sells out within few months.
