Signature Wines and Wineries of Coastal California
Co-located with Garrod Farms Riding Stables, the winery is
a working ranch to this day, run by family members working
side by side. The Fruit House tasting room was built in 1922 to
store dried prunes and apricots until they shipped to market;
the 1903 antique barn houses beautiful horses who board at
Garrod Farms. Jan Garrod is the Vineyard Master; and founding
Winemaker, George Cooper, transferred his duties to son
Bill, who joined his dad in 1996. Today Bill works with Trevor
Garrod, Jan's son. Cory Bosworth is the Tasting Room and Club
Manager—she and Trevor are cousins, as are Jan and Bill. Cory's
mother, Vicky Garrod Bosworth, heads the Riding Academy for
Garrod Farms Stables.
Guests are welcome to enjoy the family's traditional California
ranch hospitality and taste wine where the grapes are grown.
Horseback riding is available daily, along trails with panoramic
views of the San Francisco Bay area. Visitors can opt for the
monthly Walk with the Winemaker tour, check out the quarterly
Eco-tour, or enjoy numerous seasonal festivals and events.
