Lightpost Winery
MORGAN HILL
Lightpost Winery was established in 2016, but its story began long before that.
Lightpost is run by husband-and-wife team John Mauro and Sofia Fedotova,
who met online and shared a passion for wine, among other things. After 18
years together, the couple managed to open the operation with the love and
support of their four kids, family, and friends, backed by hard work and a
strong appreciation for winemaking. Today, they work alongside their award-
winning, French-Burgundian winemaker, Christian Roguenant, to showcase
European-style wines in their region.
Lightpost is a boutique family winery, set in Morgan Hill, at the southern
tip of Silicon Valley (San Francisco Bay Area). The tasting room, housed in
the historic building where Thomas Kinkade painted much of his celebrated
artwork, is conveniently located right off the Highway 101 exit, providing
easy access for residents and visitors. It offers multiple areas to have an
unforgettable experience, including a modern tasting room, separate family
room, club members' lounge, and a private group and events rooms. In
addition to tasting award-winning wines, guests can relax in the outdoor
seating area, make a wish under the Lightpost wishing tree, drop a postcard
into happy wishes mailbox, and take pictures with interactive wine glass and
bottle art sculptures.
The grapes are sourced from Estate Vineyard, as well as from carefully
selected premium single vineyards along the coastal line of California. Estate
Vineyard is comprised of diverse but well-drained soils located in Santa Clara
