tasting notes
This powerfully flavored, deep ruby colored, ful- bodied, and
concentrated Pinot Noir has expressions of fruit, floral, plums,
red and black cherry, boysenberry, cracked pepper, earth tones,
and spice. It is well balanced with integrated acidity, structured
tannin, and hints of vanilla from lots of French oak barrels.
Compelling in every way, it offers hints of juicy raspberry fruit
that's focused, pure, and undeniably delicious.
winemaker's insight
This three-acre vineyard is located in the cool Corralito's hills,
four-and-a-half miles from the Pacific Ocean. Surrounded
by large redwood trees, this 35-year-old vineyard is farmed
organically and without irrigation. Following three days of cold
soak, the wine ferments on its skins for three weeks in one-and-a-
half-ton bins and is hand-punched down several times a day.
awarDs & DistinCtions
The wine has won numerous gold medals at wine competitions.
