production over the next few years. While looking to grow, they
remain committed to taking their time to develop relationships
with growers, distributors and customers. Producing wines
that exemplify their commitment to everyone involved is their
primary goal.
Alan Kinne, CaliPaso's Director of Winemaking, has been
recognized as one of the leaders in the wine industry for more
than 30 years. His multifaceted career has crisscrossed the
country's wine regions, all the while gaining knowledge and
prestige. Alan started his career in Michigan after graduating
from the University of Michigan, and managed wineries and
made wine in Virginia. He later went on to do the same on
Long Island before returning to Virginia to start his award-
winning consulting service. During the decade when he was
exclusively a consultant, Alan received numerous accolades and
recognition. One of his proudest achievements is introducing
several new varieties of grapes to the United States. These
include AlbariƱo, Graciano, Petit Manseng, and a new selection
